Derby Creative Sanctuary Group

We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from National Lottery Awards For All! This funding will mean that for the first time, Maison Foo can run regular creative sessions with people seeking sanctuary in Derby.

These will start online (to begin with) this June and take place twice monthly. Activities will vary from crafts, art, movement, wellbeing and music. Our participants will also choose guest artists and themes for the sessions, learn new skills and develop their creativity. Most importantly, we see this as a safe and supportive place to connect and make friends. 

These sessions all lead towards a street party celebration event in September 2021, where participants will co-create every detail of the event together with us. This coincides with the launch of our Meet Your Neighbour Installation and will take place in Derby.

You can support this group by sending us digital devices (We will accept any working digital devices with a charger, please email info@maisonfoo.co,uk if you have any to send us) and making a contribution by donating - this will help participants get connected online, and in the future will ensure our participants can get to our sessions safely.
