Who are the Foo?

We are Maison Foo, makers of theatre, art and community, and a proud Theatre Company of Sanctuary. 


We use creativity to:

  • Build human connection, 

  • Bring people together 

  • Grow communities. 

Our work takes on a variety of forms including: theatre shows, parties, pop up character encounters, art installations, audio stories, cultural exchanges and workshops.

We have toured as far as India and as near as our own living rooms. Performed in theatres and festivals throughout the UK as well as by hospital beds, in public lifts and back gardens. 

Maison Foo are an associate of Derby Theatre and were Deda’s first Artists in residence (2008-2010).

 

Company of Sanctuary

In 2018 Maison Foo were awarded Theatre Company of Sanctuary status for our ongoing commitment and work with people seeking sanctuary in the UK.

we aim to develop creative opportunities for people seeking sanctuary to:

  • Be heard and empowered.
